    Zoning Ordinance and Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing Announcement

    PUBLIC  HEARING

    Archbald Borough Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance

     

    The Archbald Borough Council will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed Borough Comprehensive Plan and New Zoning Ordinance on Tuesday January 3, 2022 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Borough Building at 400 Church St., Archbald. There will be an informal open house starting at 6:30 pm.

     

    The proposed new Comprehensive Plan is a set of policies for the development and preservation of the Borough over the next 10 to 15 years.  The Plan addresses land uses, housing, transportation, community facilities and services, natural features conservation and transportation.

     

    The Proposed Zoning Ordinance includes a new Zoning Map and includes the following major components:  Uses Allowed in Each Zoning District, Dimensional Requirements, Additional Requirements for Specific Uses, Signs, Parking, General Regulations and Environmental Protection.

     

    A copy of the proposed Plan and Zoning Ordinance are available for review at the Borough Building at 400 Church St. Archbald during regular business hours.  Copies of all or portions of the Plan will be made available for purchase at the cost of reproduction.  Persons who wish to purchase a paper copy, or who wish to request special accommodations for a disability, are asked to please call the office at least one business day in advance at 570-876-1800.

     

    The proposed Plan and Zoning Ordinance will be considered for adoption at the Borough Council meeting at the Borough Building on Wednesday January 18, 2023 at 7 pm.
